With the introduction of the Twenty Sixteen default theme, Local Like And Share picked up (what I consider to be) an annoying “underline” beneath both the like and share icons. After much thrashing about, convinced that these were stubborn anchor tag underlines or bottom borders of the div containing them, but unable to get rid of them via either ‘text-decoration: none !important;’ or ‘border: 0 !important;’, I FINALLY determined they were the result of ‘box-shadow’. So, a few minor lines of CSS handled that and now the icons are looking clean again!
The other change in this release is the addition of translation nag messages, that will now appear in the admin console of all those using Local Like And Share with an install language other than U.S. English (en_US). Don’t worry, once you dismiss it, you’ll never see it again. Thanks to Clorith’s example, which was the basis for this code.
If you are willing to translate Local Like And Share into your native language, I would sincerely appreciate it; please contact me through the email icon at the top right of this blog.
Per usual, please do let me know if you run into anything weird with this new release or if you have any questions or feature requests.
